From 0 to 70 km/h with right or left hand drive

The machine’s special hydrostatic transmission technology and the two-speed gear make it possible to reach speeds higher than 40 km/h while driving easily on 20% slopes at full load. The second gear covers the full speed range from 0 to 70 km/h while driving comfortably. The vehicle features power steering and is available with either left or right hand drive, making it possible to use it anywhere in the world.

Braking system

The 5000 veloce’s braking system, including service and emergency brakes, is a leading edge system with independent braking circuits featuring disc brakes on front axles and drum brakes on the rear axles equipped also with ABS, hydraulic oil powered anti-blocking system (the first to have it in all Europe). The braking system also features a mechanical parking brake operated by a lever with proportioning valve.

Comfort

The machine has been designed to provide maximum comfort to the operator. It features wide windows that grant excellent visibility during both work and manoeuvring as well as simple and user-friendly controls. The pressurization and soundproofing systems help keeping a healthy and comfortable working environment within the cab. The machine also features an air conditioning system for the summer.

The Dulevo combo system

Waste collection is carried out with mechanical system by means of the side brushes that move debris towards the centre of the machine, where the main central cylindrical brush hurls the waste at top speed on the vertical conveyor. The waste are loaded from the top in the waste container, thus optimising the machine’s loading capacity. The dust moved by the central cylindrical brush during mechanical waste collection is sucked and kept within the container by two high-power and high pressure suction fans. The special fabric filtering system blocks even the finest dusts and completes the sweeping cycle by letting only perfectly clean air in the working environment. The side brushes are placed outside the vacuum depression area and therefore they require a slight cleaning with nebulized water to better control dust movement. The watering system consists in a stainless steel water tank from which a diaphragm pump sends water to the nebulizers placed near to the side brushes and to the front swivelling brush.

Central cylindrical brush

The central brush group (2), floats because it hangs from the centre and it is perfectly balanced. Thanks to this feature the brush sticks to the ground in any working condition. The pressure on the floor is controlled and kept constant thanks to an effective hydraulic system which allows the machine to “read” the floor’s surface structure. This system is recommended for bumpy or highly uneven urban floors.

Front swiveling brush

The front swiveling brush (10) allows efficient cleaning of pavements and other areas unreachable by side brushes. The swiveling range is 180° on left and right side and it is operated with a handy joystick located on the cab door and placed in a position that prevents the driver from being distracted during driving operations. Both the position and the inclination (side and longitudinal) of the brush can be adjusted hydraulically. Thanks to powerful magnetic sensor the brush is retracted quickly in case of collision with walls or objects. The brush is also protected by mechanical safety devices.

Fabric filter

The set of fabric bags filters (6) features a wide filtering surface (more than 22 sqm) that allows the machine to work for many hours without risking clogging. The Dulevo filter, made on an imperishable compound fabric (73% polyester and 27% cotton), is actually indestructible and filters fine dusts perfectly. The filtering group includes also an efficient shaking system (9) operated directly from the driver’s seat. The filter-shaker is hydraulically operated and it has to be activated before the waste discharge phase. The filter-shaker moves the metal rods that keep the filtering bags tight consequently moving the filters themselves until the dusts fall from the filter into the waste hopper.
